Roger Hooks, Jr. Multi-Champion and long time R/C Boat Racer has been testing Kyosho FMR 21V SII boat for some time. Available at kyosho.com. It looks like it has finally come to life in race worthy fashion. It is powered by a two-stroke nitro fueled combustion engine designed by Andy Brown at cmdracing.com. The engine is about the size of of an average man's fist. Power is enhanced with a OPS nitro pipe tuned pipe. We have made several modifications to the running hardware to make the boat stable at higher speeds. It spins a props about 1.5 inches in diameterTake a look and judge for yourself. We will try some other things to squeeze more speed out of it. The speed was not recorded but I am estimating about 50 mph if not more.
